FORM 2017

I can’t wait to share with you one of the best events we get to be a part of. FORM. What’s FORM? Well, it’s an art exhibit with bridges the gap between two artistic fields. It’s a one night event that is a different take on your classic gallery exhibit. Florists and artists are paired up to create a one-of-a-kind exhibit of visual mastery based off a theme. This year’s theme was Hybrid Ground. The idea was to bring together artworks that push the boundaries of our understanding of space by reinventing familiar materials and proportions to create new interpretations of space, home, and community.

This is our fourth year contributing, and it’s an honor every time. FORM partners up with the non-for-profit organization Snow City Arts in order to raise money for the education of arts to children who are hospitalized in the Chicagoland area. We are so honored to be a small part such a fun and charitable event! The event was held on April 11 at Bridgeport Art Center, which is already a favorite event venue of ours.

This year we were a part of two, yes TWO! installations. My artist created an incredible party boat representing the chaos in our world. Those that know me know I like to bend the rules and really push that envelope with my floral design. So my “boat” is either coming to the party bringing the pretty or leaving the party to share the pretty with others. My take is that it’s either the glass is half full or half empty. Totally up to your perspective.

Then Inspired Catering and Events approached us with a phenomenal concept: To create a garden to really showcase their delicious food. Macaroon “lollipops” were mixed into our garden of fresh blooms, along with their other delicious treats. Our backdrop was an extension of vines from our garden.

Thank you so much to all the awesome participants, vendors, and donors!
