I am so thrilled to finally share this incredible Joliet wedding. The elegance. The romance. It’s literally breathtaking. Get ready for a lot of gorgeous! A classic navy, gold, and ivory wedding. Michele’s style is absolutely impeccable. I seriously have to take fashion notes from her! When we first met, Michele was overwhelmed with floral, but with her amazing style and choices, I knew we would come up with a perfect wedding. A soft, fresh color palette and a clean design. Lush floral complemented by classic candelabras with taper candles highlighted the amazing venue. Stunning bouquets. Crisp navy linens. This wedding was perfection.
The venue, an old train station, is gorgeous on its own. The architecture and space already tell an amazing story. The venue is now managed by the Mistwood Golf Club, but it’s just as gorgeous as ever!
For florals, we utilized classic roses, hydrangeas, and added a modern twist by using foliage as structural elements similar to the arching lines of the venue. Michele’s bouquet is one of my favorites, a large, lush, and textural masterpiece of ranunculus, parrot tulips, roses, lisianthus, anemones, and rich camelia foliage. The bridesmaids wore navy and we opted for an artistic approach of exquisite pale green hydrangea, pale green lisianthus, and a framework of leaves. Adam was already so dapper in his tuxedo, so a classic boutonniere was the perfect finishing touch.
As all of my clients know, candles are my favorite. Lucky for me, Michele agreed. We adorned the head table with a medley of damn candles along the length of the table. This is a stunning way to really maximize the grandeur of the space. The staircase to the reception was romantically enhanced with candles all along each side. The endless ceilings are beyond stunning, so of course we used our candelabras with tapers reaching as high as possible. Soft floral accents were strategically placed throughout. Centerpieces of varying heights really maximized the beauty of the venue and the luxe navy linens really added another dimension of gorgeous depth. How great are those sweet details on the table? And the cupcake in the shape of their new shared last initial?!
Thanks to all the vendors who worked so hard to make this a beautiful wedding. And thanks to Michele and Adam for allowing us to “floralize” your wedding.Wishing you all the best for years to come!
